Terry Ruane graduated from Bayonne Hospital Nursing School with her RN in 1977 and went on to receive her BSN from Jersey City State College in 1983. She has worked in various nursing environments including hospitals, clinics and home-visitation agencies. For the past twenty years she has worked at the Health Department on different projects and programs.
Ms. Ruane is the Coordinator of the Central New Jersey Lead and Healthy Homes Coalition. The Coalition works with community partners and health care workers to educate individuals and households on the effects of lead on children. The coalition has developed pamphlets on the different sources of lead and in 2014 presented a film “Anatomy of a Lead Home Visit” to REHS and Lead Case Managers. She is also a member of NJPHNA and board member at the Community Affairs & Resource Center (CARC).
