Thomas Gilbert works to improve the community’s safety and the economic revitalization on behalf of the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office. He has been instrumental in bringing together community groups and organizations to foster change and greater impact. Prior to this role, Mr. Gilbert served as Lieutenant Colonel, or second in command at the New Jersey State Police, where he was responsible for the tactical and strategic activities of the Homeland Security, Operations, Investigations and Administration Branches, as well as NJ State Office of Emergency Management and its Regional Operations and Intelligence Center.
Mr. Gilbert is a graduate of Trenton State College. He obtained a master’s degree from St. Joseph’s University in Law Enforcement Management. He also graduated from the FBI National Academy with a certificate in Executive Leadership.
